STRUCTURE IN ACTION is a one-day educational workshop that combines Pat Hastings’ PUPPY PUZZLE presentation and a discussion of the value of structurally evaluating adult dogs that are being considered for a breeding program, working trials or performance competition, along with a veterinarian’s perspective on how to reduce the risk of structural injuries in working and performance dogs.
The agenda includes: (1) evaluating the structural quality of puppies; (2) basics of canine structure; (3) the weakest links; (4) evaluating the structural quality of adult dogs; (5) structurally, what a dog can do and should not be doing; (6) a veterinarian’s ideas on how to strengthen structure and reduce risk of injury; (7) questions and hands-on work with pre-selected attendees’ dogs.
