“Paws on Fire” 2012 U-Fli Flyball Tournament Updates

We are pleased to announce that Steve McAvoy will be our Head Judge for our 2012 events.
*BREAKING NEWS*  Paws On Fire will be offering U-FLI’s new Pre-Flight class at both our June and August 2012 tournaments.  This is a great opportunity to get some ring time for your dogs that are not yet ready for regular Singles racing in a tournament setting.  We will be scheduling the Pre-Flight class as part of the regular tournament schedule.  Tournament sanctioning information will be updated shortly on the U-FLI website.
Here is some information about Pre-Flight:
*Pre-Flight Singles Class *
**Only Singles Teams can enter the Pre-Flight Class.
This class is intended for dogs that are unable to race head to head with an opponent. The dog entered in the Pre-Flight class is not required to run against another dog, however, the Pre-Flight team has the option of allowing another dog/handler team in the ring to race against. All dogs must have a RUN. No judges are required, however the participant may provide their own judges (line, box and “head judge”) if they desire.
The warm-up time allowed will be the same as allowed for Singles and Pairs at the event.  Except during the warm-up period, gating and/or props of any kind will not be allowed.  Handlers shall choose their desired jump height.  Handlers can release at any time.  An overall time limit of 10 minutes to run the 4 heats, for each race, will apply.
